Hi my name is Rachel and, having struggled as the mother of two severely colicky babies, I noticed that there was a distinct lack of support and information on colic for parents.
Guidance from doctors and health visitors varied but the general advice seemed to be ‘it won’t last forever just grin and bear it’.
I realised that what parents actually need is:
•Better information on the various causes of colic.
•Dedicated colic-busting advice from specialists
•The ability to connect and share their experience with other parents
So, I set up Colic-SOS to fill this information void and answer the ‘call for help’ of parents whose babies suffer from colic.
Colic-SOS brings together advice from a range of colic experts and, at the same time, enables parents to ask questions and share their own experience of ‘colic hell’.
Our experts share the latest advice on diet and feeding, sleep and routine, and massage and osteopathy. And our Facebook page and blog provide a forum for parents to swap stories and share tips with others who are ‘in the same boat’.
So, follow our Facebook page, sign up for your free book and if you know any friends or family who might benefit from the information on this site then please share it with them.
Important notice: Colic-SOS is intended to help parents in an area which is often misunderstood and where there is often a lack of joined-up information. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical care by a qualified doctor and, although colic isn’t usually a sign of anything serious, you should always consult your doctor if your baby is crying consistently or suffering from any other colic symptoms.
